Understanding your Newborn Baby
(based on Brazelton Centre’s Newborn Behaviour Observation system which is underpinned by 30 years of research and clinical work)
Getting to know more about what your baby is saying from birth to 3 months
My group workshops and one to one newborn behaviour observations are designed to help you understand the richness of the newborn’s behavioural repertoire, how they are developing in the very early months and what they need from you.
If you are looking to understand what your baby is telling you, what their behaviour means, and how you can bring this knowledge to practical everyday life of looking after your baby, then you are in the right place.
Workshop - £20
This workshop is particularly good when attended in late pregnancy and with newborns under 10 weeks, but parents with older babies will also find it helpful.
The 1.5 hour workshop includes
Newborn Behaviour Profile (1-to-1) £75
The NBO gives you a very personalised view of your baby’s behaviour.
What is it? It's a set of behavioural observations that I do together with you to see how your baby reacts to the tasks and communicates what they think of it.
It is not a test and does not give you a diagnosis. We will spend around 90 minutes together, at your home or online, looking into up to 18 different items to see where your baby's strengths are and where they might need extra support from you.
It focuses on what babies CAN do.
Who is it for? Parents with babies from birth to 3 months.
